OKC is forcing 5 more tos a game then those celtics did and way more versatile defensively. They don't have to rely on drop coverage like the Celtics did for Al and Rob Will to be contributors. Chet when healthy can handle smaller perimeter players while OKCs forwards/guards can reliably switch on bigger players without giving up too much of an advantage (watching J Dub handle Kat in the post was wild, he's giving up 7 inches and 40 lbs in that matchup :dead:).

That fake ass drop coverage was the biggest reason why Steph basically one man army'd their shyt in the Finals :manny:.

Yes cause causing turnovers are the only way to play defense lol.

You had Marcus Smart DPOY on the perimeter, Jaylen, D-White, Tatum. Also Tatum with help defense at the rim. Timelord with elite rim protection, Al Horford with 1 on 1 post defense and can defend on the perimeter. Grant Williams as another defender for big wings and power forwards

Legit 5 players on that team that can defend both the rim and the perimeter

Celtics had a way more versatile defense, and for you to say the opposite is comical. Like I said your post was not a serious post

We really bout to see another Canadian MVP :francis: 20 years later :ohhh:

Shai from Toronto too. If you tol someone a decade or longer ago in a 6 year span there would be a Toronto NBA champion and Toronto MVP everyone would thought you were retarded

They lowkey one of the top 5 or top 3 basketball cities now for talent. Seem like every other NBA team got a real good player from Toronto.

Honestly, i think SGA is just naturally distancing himself as the front-runner at this point.

Jokic is still the PER/statistical monarch, but he's also high key starting to miss a buncha games whereas SGA may have missed maybe 1 at worst. So that (availability) + best record + scoring leader/being a stat monster himself... he'd be a front runner or right there in any season in league history with those credentials.
I’ve seen several rankings that still had Jokic to win it

A lot of rankings like Vegas just recently put SGA first & barely at that
