It's a lot easier to see Robb is an idiot when it's right there in video.

Plus you can process everything that's happening a lot easier when you don't have to force your way though Bran and Davos chapters in between the good stuff.

i liked the bran chapters :yeshrug:

i want the plan revealed...they already alluded to Cat's hatred of Jon Snow...i think it would be great to see that SOMEONE (Robb) had love for Jon Snow. Only to see Cat continue to be a bytch and rally against it.

Might make the RW emotionally feel like her fault. THey havent done a good job making us care about Robb but it has done a good job making us hate Cat....

The book did a good job at that too. I couldn't stand Cat until the RW. When that happened at least I was :ld: about her.

I asked this before but it got wiped - is there a huge difference between the books and the program as to why Robb goes to the Freys? Is he not just going back to the North in the books, basically after giving up on winning the war?

My memory is pretty foggy.

In the books, Robb was trying to regain Frey support after Robb betrayed their agreement :what: inorder to secure the North and Riverlands and head home.

There is/was no way his forces could even think of trying to take Castlerly Rock though

I liked the Bran and DAvos chapters. In fact, I like just about all the various point of views. It's baffling to me that people complain about any of the point of views. Some are better than others but none are bad or boring.

One thing i dont like is how they have LF tell Sansa hes trying to break her out from the start of the season, theres really nothing to reveal when the RW unfolds. And they basically replaced him with Varys in the plot to kill Joffrey.
Will we see the Red Viper this season?

As a person who has read the books but who watches this show every week with people who have not (and don't plan on ever reading them), I think some of you are really wrong about how impactful the Red Wedding is going to be and just how much of a rooting factor there is for Robb. I had to show major restraint when my friends started getting pumped over the idea that Robb was actually going to convince Walder Frey to side with him and that Robb actually has a shot at taking Casterly Rock. They really believe that he is going to rebound and its like they hae completely fogotten about the gut punch they felt when Ned got his head chopped off.
And while Robb is not, and never has been, one of my favorite characters, I do give the show props for really showing that what Robb is to his core is a young man that was thrust into a situation he was nowhere near ready for and despite early victories he eventually stumbled badly under the weight of things even though his moptivation is the most just of everyone on the show. Looking at it that way makes what is going to happen to him really fukked up.

:heh: Umm the books aren't perfect, breh. Boring is subjective. I'm a hard fan of the series but some of the chapters/POVs have no re-read value.

Its easy to see why people are rooting for Robb to bounce back, I think they still have hollywood/primetime tv mentality, even tho Martin already showed with Ned that anyone can get it.

I always liked Robb, but had to concede that as a 16year old (i think) he was out of his depth, what happened was fukked up, think it'll be great TV when it pops off.

Not sure if anyone feels the same way but I think an important thread of the books has been omitted, im sure for a reason, but all the Stark children (although no mention I think with Sansa) are Wargs or some sort and have connections to their Wolves, Robb struggles with this in the books, Arya does even when a great distance away from hers and of course Bran, Jon and to a lesser extent Rickon, judging from the books its important but the series seems to have swerved it.

Just sayin......

I am sure sansa could do it as well. Though her direwolf was killed off early. What they should have done is get rid of the idea of a direwolf and just made them regular wolves and just have some trained dogs on set. Though they prob would not be as intimidating.
