Do y'all think Jamie going to lose his hand in the t.v series? I'm sure they'll do something severe to him though...

we've already seen leaked pics of him with a stump. if you re-watch the trailer and pause it right at the second where you see jaime you could see his right hand all bandaged up and in a sling around his neck.

But to be honest breh's, we NEVER see Jaime's glory. We know he's thorough, but no really thinks he's the goat but himself. Most of what we know is Jaime's internal monoglue saying who he think he can take. We have no proof at all that he could beat Brienne at 100 percent. We've seen the Hound and Brienne fukk nikkas up.

I just remembered, he did get off in the whispering wood on a few karstarks.

That's cause most of jamie's prowess comes before the story starts. He was knighted for kicking ass during a war at 15 by ser Arthur dayne, and appointed to the kinsguard at 16 by ser gerold Hightower making him the youngest ever.

True.

I will say that Kingguard appointment isnt that impressive especially when cersi set that shyt up and Aery's wanted to stick it to tywin by taking his heir. But yeah, jaime is official.

Jamie's character only starts getting really good after he loses his hand

his chapters become awesome in the later books...I remember not being a huge fan of his...but the character development on him is fascinating

but I agree...the TV show should do a flashback or something so people watching on TV can get the point of how dope Jamie was with the sword.

Yea that's a good point but remember he was knighted by one of the kingsguard (dayne) so even if aerys wanted to stick it to tywin, I'm sure he still had respect from dayne and hightower

We never will...remember Jamie hasn't fought in a war since before Roberts Rebellion, and even then the Mad King kept him in the Red Keep with him as a hostage basically. Even in the war of 5 kings he got down in the Whispering Wood on the Karstark Men but became a prisoner shortly after, i like the lack of fighting we see Jamie do, it makes his internal monologue more interesting because we don't know to what extent his "unreliable narrator" is. We see other people acknowledge the skills, but we never SEE them...that's dope to me...

nikkas in the other tread up here thinking that Jamie supposed to be on some ole Syrio water dance flashy shyt, nah..dude is Westeros swordplay slow, deliberate movements more defensive than anything
but dude got that sword and its almost like he got a part of himself back...dude just couldnt take Brienne's brute strength...not cuffed anyway.

I was thinking about who they could get to play the Red Viper, and since they brought Ciran Hinds in, who played Caesar in Rome, I think dude that played Marc Anthony would be a good red viper.

Everybody talking about how they wanna see the sand snakes for a bad bytch fest, but nobody talking about the bad chick that's in Margery's crew that becomes Cersei's homegirl for a minute. The brunette sexy thang from the east who was described like she just oozes sex appeal. Can't remember her name, but if she make it to the show, they better have a dime playing her.

As far as the sand snakes go, isn't one of them described as big and not really attractive. Again I'm not gonna look up which one it was, but Doran's guard spoke of her like she wasn't that hot at all.

Why are y'all using spoiler tags in a spoiler thread? :dahell:

I loved the part in Bran's dream where he heard Ned's voice and they immediately snapped to the trees. These writers are doing a great job of setting things up.

nah man, as much as i would love for him to be on game of thrones he isnt. Him and kevin mckidd (lucius verinus) are being little bytches about being on game of thrones because of rome being canceled. heres the quote

[Kevin] McKidd and I had lunch the other day, and I said to him, “Have you been asked to do Game Of Thrones?” And he said, “I’d never do it. Because they stole our fukking show.” He worked out that if Rome had run for the entire seven seasons that it should have run, we would only have finished it last year. And he feels that HBO did Game of Thrones instead of us, so they stole our show. I kind of agree with him. I won’t be doing Game Of Thrones, even if they ask me.

i think he would be perfect as euron greyjoy instead of red viper IMO

also, as much as i like ciaran hinds as mance rayder, im mad as hell mcnulty passed on the role. he said he never watched game of thrones and didnt know how popular it was, so he turned it down.

Purefoy is a pretty meh actor, entertaining as he was in 'Rome'. Not right for GOT really.

McNulty would have been ideal as Mance though.
