Yes. Personally I liked season 1 of GoT a little more, but this first season is better than season 5,7,8 for sure
Not as good as first 4 seasons of GoT but better than the last two. It takes a while to build up, first few episodes feel like filler and then the latter half of the season gets better.
Also I think I was one of the bigger haters of the show in this thread, so I think overall consensus was that it's a very good show.

Eh that show's not for me, I don't mind court intrigues/politics but I feel that it's veering far too much towards drama. I was not familiar with the source material so that's on me I guess.
