Alicent openly questionin VDawg shoulda had her ass hemmed up by his goons. She's gotten way too brazen with her backtalk.

I think Viserys is past the resentment stage and now feels guilt for what Alicent has become. Vis is a fair king and a very observant man. He realizes that Alicent was a pawn for Otto. Doesn't justify her current treachery but it does explain how she's been programed to play the "Game of Thrones". The death and treatment of Queen Aemma has made him question how women are treated in society and I think both Alicent and Rhaenyra are using his guilt to run wild. He's not gonna question who Rhae fukks because he feels guilty about fukking her BFF who is old enough to be his daughter. He's not going to check Alicent for wearing green as a sign of rebellion because he knows that's her way of feeling she has a little power and independence.
