I'm saying the Strongs shoulda been black to make the genetics being in question more plausible, and I'm blaming them not doing so on typical Hollywood limiting minority rep

But the point is that the genetics AREN'T supposed to be plausible. The point is that it's obvious to literally anyone that can see that those children aren't Laenor's. Apparently in the books, Laenor and his house are white, so the dark hair is the dead giveaway. In the show, we have the hair, and the fact that the kids are as white as some dry, unseasoned mashed potatoes.

So you want them making shyt up? Like season 7-8?
I mean, isn’t that what a writers room is for? They should be developing the characters a bit more instead of racing through the details and the backstory. The main issue a few of us have is the rushed pace, which was the biggest issue with GOT 7-8. I know Fire and Blood is shorter but nothing is stopping them from developing the characters except this desire to show us the highlights ASAP instead of setting the table.

For example, Harwin and Laena had maybe half a dozen scenes combined before the most recent episode, only to both die almost immediately once we realize they’ve become important characters (not to mention in the same episode). Their deaths were dramatic and supposed to hit us hard, but we barely got to know them. And if they weren’t major characters in the books then why bother giving them dramatic deaths in the first place after such little development?

I’m trying not to harp on the time jumps but I hope this is the last big one. I’m honestly surprised so many people in here don’t have an issue with the pace (I know someone broke down the logistics behind the choices but my point is that those are self-imposed limits).

Societal norms or cultural expectations =/= The Law. The kings word is ultimately the law. Vis chose Rhae as his heir and he told her and everyone else that it's on periodt. So anyone going out of their way to undermine or challenge the Kings choice is treasonous. Alicent is manic and overstepping. She's still wearing Hightower colors as a sign of rebellion against the house of Targaryen, she planting seeds of discord amongst the children and she is conspiring with Sir Simpalot all because Rae had a hot girl summer 10 fukking years ago. She needs to be mad at Otto and not Rhae for how her life turned out.

Supposedly it will slow down. The main plot/story is coming. This stuff is the prologue or backstory. It’s kinda like asking why a show on Ned’s life between the Rebellion and Season 1 of GOT was being sped up. But I mostly agree with you. They could’ve made this a season.

Exactly. Her father pushed her into that position.

I like how they show what a healthy relationship with dragons looks like as opposed to the unhealthy relationship that Dany had, calling them her children and all that jazz.

That plus the fact that dragons are supposed to get training. And there's many more commands that you can give them besides dracarys.

Speaking of, they show that the dragons know these commands because of their training. How did Danys dragons know that dracarys meant to spit fire? :jbhmm:
Same way dogs know what sit mean. She trained them. :what:

There was a scene with her and her handmaids in Q’arth where she was teaching them dracarys when they were still palm sized

I could only imagine the fits the Coli militants would have if Rhae was married to one brother and fukking another. It would be types of bed buck posts in these place:dead:
Dude started a brawl and killed someone at a royal wedding. You don’t leave that with 0 punishment.
You do if the queen has your back. I don’t see how people aren’t getting that.

viserys picking her is starting to look like the wrong choice when everyone but him clearly sees that she has 3 b*stards.

this dude larys out here playing chess tho, while everyone underestimates him cuz of his club foot. he reminds me of the tyrion of this show.

nikka do you read? We said it wasn’t explained- it’s not that complicated. You’re giving the obvious answer which everyone gets. It still doesn’t justify not even mentioning it casually.
