Well considering the OP already said the game manager is on a perennial SB contender and the gunslinger is on a perennial .500 team, then of course I'd rather take the game manager scenario. You already told me the results
But if I didn't know the results ahead of time, or anything else about the team around them, and my only options were a gunslinger who didn't like checkdowns and a game manager who rarely took risks, then give me the gunslinger. As a fan, when you have a QB who is a playmaker, you always feel like you are in the game.
Game managers are great when you dominate the trenches on both sides, but if you get down early, that's a bad place to be.
