He doesnt have the arm talent to sling the ball when from behind (pause). You saw the clear difference between him and Darnold on Sunday when forced to be in pass first mode.
Thankfully he has a defense that will keep him in games, but this is who I saw at ISU.

I hear that, but there have been a lot of QBs with this crazy Arm talent that haven’t been as successful or accomplished much.
I don’t wanna say that thing is “overrated” but Jay Cutler was someone that had are talent.
I feel it’s a great thing to have but you need a little more to be successful in this league.

I’ll answer this question like this. If Mahomes still continues to play well, compete for championships and win a few more. I’m sure people will feel great about his deal
But if for the rest of his career he looks like struggling baby hair and only averages 3-4 wins a season. They gonna be mad.
If Purdy continues to win and we stay competitive, what’s the problem?
What I’m getting at is those QBs are the centerpiece to their team. They take up a significant portion of the cap and it limits what you can build around them. But that’s fine because in theory they can win with less because of their talent.
If we apply that to Brock and suddenly he’s taking 20% of the cap, the Niners gotta shed a good bit of talent to make that work. Would that work? Or do you think Brock wouldn’t succeed on a less talented team?
