Tua did eat up the jets defense without Tyreek....the so called best in football

As I pointed out already, Miami only managed 290 yards that game (130 below their average) and just 16 first downs. Tua had a great game considering the circumstances, but it was virtually all on dinking/dunking and most of his completions weren't even going for 1st downs, even on 3rd down.

Miami's defense completely shut down the Jets and gave the offense short fields all day long, and the coaches had a great game plan that allowed Tua to stay within limits without Tyreek's downfield threat. Outside of that one bomb, I don't remember him completing a pass ten yards beyond the LOS all day and most of his passes weren't even 5 yards downfield.

Na….. still here

Is he saying top-5 season or actual top-5 quarterback? I have a hard time feeling him at anything more than lower-end top-10.

So if Brock were in another situation, then besides Lamar, Mahomes, Hurts and Allen, he'd also still be better than Dak, Burrow, Herbert, and Tua? Was his performance at Iowa State really the most any quarterback could possibly have done in that situation, or did he just suddenly make a massive leap while sitting on the Niners' bench?

Both

We not finna sit here and play this “bu bu bu but Matt Stafford and Justin Herbert are better QBs, don’t look at the numbers or record” game

Or “bu bu bu but Aaron Rodgers is a better QB, ignore that he’s injured. If he was playing he’s be undefeated and leading the league” stuff.

We dealing with the present, the now, and the numbers.

People try to hard to discredit Purdy and it’s like why? He shouldn’t be punished because of his circumstances

Did people not watch Miami's offense without Tua last year?????? It fell off a cliff when tua went out. Why didn't "always open" reek and Waddle carry the plug and play qb to similar success?

Watch the KC game and Arizona game when Flores was Miami's HC. You'd see there why ppl were high on Tua.

This board has become a minature version of ESPN. Hot takes and random stats with no context attached. Sometimes you really do have to watch the games.

It's why you gotta watch Lamar play. You won't see gaudy stats all the time. But when you watch him, he's clearly the best player on the field most times.

So he's missing his wr1 and multiple starting o lineman against a top defense which he still shreds...But he gets penalized for following the coaches' excellent game plan?

They didn't need to push the ball down field a lot. The Jets have a putrid offense. You have a banged up o line. Why risk your qb's health over trying to impress doubters? When they had their deep shot chance he took it and nailed it. Like what exactly is it that you wanted from him in this game?

Would you have liked some hero ball from him? He has a smart coach and he's a smart qb. Am I missing something here?

From the ultimate game changer :wow:

I guess Vick a c00n who doesn't know ball now :francis:
Dude doesnt have the arm talent to play from behind (pause). He needs the running game to be in play to be effective. If teams know he has to pass, hes back to Iowa State Purdy that I remember.
