Mode 7 Graphics

Sega's bullshyt "Blast Processing!!!!"

:childplease:

Final Fantasy 7 (which, IMO, is singlehandedly responsible for every game since that dared place graphics over gameplay)

Final Fantasy 10

after that... it all kinda blurs together.

This is a lot more recent than some of the posts already in this thread but the first Assassins Creed on PS3 genuinely left me in bits. I used to walk around the town mingling with the people and that shyt looked so genuine that it felt like I was actually there myself. Sh*t was unreal.

in terms of aesthetic value, super mario bros. (NES) was pretty impressive, lol.

i was used to shyt on the atari, so when SMB hit the scene, the colors, variety of levels and tight controls were at another level ( for most kids) at the time.

mortal combat, killer instinct, virtua fighter, resident evil, tekken (with the awesome cut scenes) and shenmue, were all amazing to me, when they came out respectively.
