But fox haven't made one good "x-men" movie

I watched the first three a few months ago while listening to RiffTrax commentary. X2 was better than I remembered, Last Stand was worse and the first one still sucks. Overall, I think X2 and First Class are the best (haven't seen Days of Future Past yet). Both are good, but not great. It's all such a departure from the comics, that's what I really hate about it. You don't need to regurgitate the same story lines exactly but I don't think the films have any respect for the source material. That entire film universe is a complete mess.

In terms of story, they're not just gonna mess with the Thieves and Assassins Guilds from the mini series and throw in some bonus mutants? :dwillhuh:

It's like Fox like making things more difficult for themselves - killing off Scott and Jean, making the OG Deadpool terrible for no reason, hiring Brett Ratner to do anything at all...

Words can't describe how much I despise this dude as an actor :scust:. I see no difference in any character he plays. These studio decisions for the next few years already looking

I think doing a solo Gambit movie before puttin him on the team is a bad move.

If they casted him this early then he is definitely appearing in Apocalypse hell maybe even in Deadpool, maybe he'll be one of the horsemen :banderas:

I dunno, I think Fox maybe feeling themselves too much due to the success of Days of Future Past, and think they can do whatever they want with the X-Men properties again. They need to be like Marvel and have 1 person be the head of all X-Men related movies so that they at least are all together sense. Bryan Singer would be a good choice for that role. At the very least he understands the core essence of the X-Men.

Looks like they're going forward with it.
: In a move that makes official that the X-Men character Gambit is getting his own spinoff movie with Channing Tatum as the card-savvy protagonist, Fox has set Robocopscribe Josh Zetumer to write the screenplay. The studio has officially attached Tatum as star, and to produce with his Free Association partner Reid Carolin, The Donners Company’s Lauren Shuler Donner, and Genre Films’ Simon Kinberg.

The screenplay will be based on a treatment penned by legendary Marvel Comics writer Chris Claremont, who with Jim Lee created the character for Marvel in 1990. The storyline is being kept under wraps. The character, which also goes by the name Remy LeBeau, has the ability to charge matter with volatile kinetic energy, causing the object in question to explosively release its charge on impact. The character materialized in a short burst in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Tatum and Carolin are currently producing Magic Mike XXL, which was written by Carolin, with Tatum once again starring. Tatum will next be seen starring in Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher, and he has a headlock on Oscar buzz for his role as Olympic champion wrestler Mark Schultz since that film premiered at Cannes. Zetumer along with Tatum, Carolin and their company are repped by UTA and Management 360.

I still think it's a bad move to start off Gambit w/ a solo flick before an X-Team one.

Nah The Last Stand and Wolverine: Origins humbled them. I Don't think they'll just outright throw out some bulkshyt ESPECIALLY with Marvel and DC clamoring for Comic film supremacy. Fox ONLY has the Xmen properties and Fantastic Four so they cannot afford to fukk up right now. They've got a ton of good will going for them thanks to First class and DOFP so I think they'll keep quality in mind from here on out.

One good sign was them actually not rushing to throw out a Deadpool movie and waiting until they got a good script together

Fox knows Gumbo a popular ass character so they have no choice but to come correct with this project

this is just such a dumb idea. They wouldn't go forward with a Magneto movie, but Gambit gets one? No single XMen should have his own movies but Wolverine. Gambit is cool, but he should be in an XMen movie, not his own. at least not yet. I don't even count Taylor Kitsch's version.

Tatum won me over with the Jump Street movies, but i have no interest in seeing him in anything else.

... unless this comes down the stupid Marvel rights, where one studio somehow owns him
