Not all scientists are atheists and atheism isn't a requirement to be a scientist. All a scientist is, is an investigator of observable phenomenon. They aren't priests, leaders, etc... This is just something new, and the current model will either be corrected to account for new understanding, thrown out, or nothing will happen because it was not what we thought it was.

There are multiple translations. The most common English translation would be the one commissioned by Kings James...the 1611. Whats the point tho? If you dont rock with the English language, you realize we can read the same texts word for word....character by character in Greek and even Paleo Hebrew....which language would you prefer?
