GAAS extends the life of a title FAR beyond what's normal
that community stuff and content drip attaches players to shyt that would normally get red boxed or returned or never tried at all. "you can't play it anymore" sounds impactful only under the lens that games all get the same spin and traction in the first place
this goes back years. little shyt like Vanquish having a leaderboard - even that pushes life further. where do yal think achievements came from. its the same thought process. GaaS just ties extended developer bandwidth to player feedback. i'd be shocked if even a third of people complaining about GaaS could all agree on what is and isn't under the GaaS umbrella anymore.
