Yup, it's certainly not scientifc but there's a basis in reality for it.

Alpha - any man that succeeds in living up to the male gender role (LeBron James, Barrack Obama/Bill Clinton, Leonard DiCaprio, Jeff Bezos, or any popular dude that people respect and is confident) - men look up to them, and most women would gladly submit to them

"beta" - a man that doesn't really succeed in living up to the role, especially when it comes to being confident, assertive, and virile. They have "weak" energy or are clowns. Men either disrespect or ignore them, and women disrespect and ignore them. People look down on them.

And there's a lot of guys in between that that have traits of some and not the other. But alpha/beta is usually having or not having a combo of 4 of the following: confidence, assertiveness, virility, skill, and a masculine disposition.

Goddamn you hit the nail on the head. Europeans marveled at many ancient African societies due to their fairness and sense of justice. There were societies that had architecture built without doors because some civilizations had no fear of being robbed due to everyone’s needs being met. Archaeologists also theorize child abuse rates were low due to how close knit families were. Won’t say it was perfect but even with our modern comforts, we are lacking in a lot of ways.

I mean... they also lived in smaller communities-- so accountability was at an all time high. And the punishment for committing harmful acts within the community was harsh. They weren't inherently more fair, they simply had more to lose.
