Damn Episode 10 was one of those side plot episodes but this was dope tho.

I wonder if there was any symbolism behind the girl being all tired with her head on the desk the first day and all up and active, ready to participate in class the second day.

I thought it was the dualities of dealing with black mental health in schools...one moment you're cool with the kid and they are okay and the next moment they giving you attitude

I always wore uniforms so during my era the wave was how you wore your uniform. During the time period when having starch pants was the wave all dudes were buying cans of Sta Flo Starch to heavy starch their pants to the point where kids were walking around like frankenstein out of fear of breaking their crease in the legs

Bruh :pachaha:

I kept a bottle of that shyt in high school!

I was starching my shyt and leaving the pants in the freezer afterwards :francis:

It got so hooked on that style I was doing that shyt well into my 30s :snoop:

What was the point so your shyt was extra straight with no creases on it at all? I don't get it lol.

Also the Starch was so heavy it could rip the clothes. Lol you guys were wyling.

I think she's just bipolar.

That could be it lol, I was wondering if there was any significance at all or if they just decided to put in there for the hell of it.

I also thought personally she might represent the girl back in school who always was asleep in class and when they were awake they were trying to find every excuse to get out of class. They would do thing like going to the nurse office and complaining of cramps and shyt just to stay out of class, or taking the hall pass and staying the hall way for almost the whole period. I'm not sure If I'm alone on this but I went to high school with some real characters and there was a girl who did this lol.

It just surprised me when she got all hyper the next day wanting to participate and shyt the day they found out the boy took his life. It's like fukk, did she kill him or something.

Good point :jbhmm: Didn't think about that.

first thing I thought of when I saw them nikkas looking like some extras in a TLC video

I never rocked FUBU ever, it was too loud and bright for me. I did however rock Karl Kani and Phat Farm :wow:
episode brought back a lot of memories

And then Platinum FUBU :mjlol:

Yea I kept wondering why Earn never just left school early instead of being terrified every before class :mindblown:

Back in highschool If I was ever having a bad day I just left out the back door or at least jumped the fence during by the track during gym class

If I didn’t wanna be there I was GONE :banderas:
He probably lived too far, I mean he waiting for the Yellow School Bus to drop him off. It's not like he could easily just go get a cab or some shyt I'm guessing and the Metro probably sucks in ATL unlike in NY.

Lol I'm over thinking it but fukk it

That's the only part I didn't like. The insinuation that materialism isn't as big in white society.
Well tbh it's not, at least not in the same way. Among white folks it's more about where you went to school, what your dad does for a living, what trips you took over the summer and things like that. That's how they like to compete with one another.

The only thing I noticed is that rich white people like to compete with Yachts. However I never knew of any white people that care about sneakers like that and the ones that do got it from our culture(the hip-hop culture). It's not like they would put a kid down for wearing fake gear or whack sneakers because most of them wear whack sneakers and shyt anyway lol. They even wear sneakers to the point where they look like they about to tear apart.

All you nikkas that got bullied gotta stop tryna make this a black thing. I see a lot of :mjpls: post since the last ep

white kids get clowned so hard they wanna kill everyone at the school (and actually do it) but it's really clowns in here saying making jokes about fake clothing gives nikkas ptsd :pachaha:

I can't stand you lame ass nikkas who have this white people are better than us because we like different things mentality :pacspit:

Have you ever heard a white dude tell another white dude they shouldn't be standing in line for a video game or the latest harry potter/star wars/ movie or iphone because blacks don't do it?

Good point :jbhmm: Didn't think about that.

Also the lack of empathy shown after the death , I dunno if that's how it is in more urban schools but I think that was what he was trying to capture. Which may be why sshe sat in the dead kids seat
