Sparking blunts in the shade.
This was a really good episode and it caught me off guard like a mother fukker. I see that it an ep centered around Darius and I automatically assume I'm going to be busting my sides open laughing, but this was excellent tv in a whole nother way. I was on the edge of my seat wondering if they were going to kill my nikka off, and trying to figure out if this was supposed to be a depiction of what Mike could've ended up like.

I did laugh hard as fukk because I Googled "Sammy Sosa Hat" the same time the characters did and also when Teddy Gambino pulled out that gage. That shyt was smoother than pre-cracked ostrich eggs. I knew it was coming and it still caught me off guard because it was just too smooth. :mjlol:

The piano moving plot instantly reminded me of this classic episode of Sanford and Son:

When I say this guy was in character the whole time on set—it was just amazing the commitment he brought to the character. Even Glover’s interactions with Stanfield changed in between takes. It was exactly what you’d expect it to be if you saw a young African-American man and an older white male on set
Donald Day-Lewis :damn:

Gotta watch again but I don’t know if that is Benny in the wheelchair.

Teddy is Benny, there’s no reference to Teddy being young(er) or any interactions with his dad. Even when he’s watching his dad, it’s with Benny. And then when Darius says I understand Teddy responds in a manner that it’s more personal and sensitive.

Was mentioned earlier, agree with the theory that the guy in the wheelchair is either the father or his old self that he has tried killing in the hopes of satisfying his fathers desires.

The fact he was in the basement (true self/soul), hidden, just like the room for his father struck me. Then the gun being in the attic signifies the mental impact of his upbringing and fame.

Darius got robbed of his innocence. Him facing death was the only time we really saw emotional depth or some sort of adulthood.
