Don't ever underestimate the power of mainstream media. I remember when the dips influenced all the lil nikkas in ny to wear leather bombers with true religions. Hov and usher had nikkas rocking buttons up in 04. Even down to the slang ppl use. So many young dudes runnin around ny doing pills itsnot even funny.

No one is saying the parents shouldn't be held accountable, but there comes a time in a child's life where he/she is gonna do what they want. You cant shield them from the negative aspects of the media forever. There are numerous variables that created this predicament, and hiphop is one of em

These idiots think you're a "conspiracy theorist" for saying this. Thats the problem.

They think its a mere coincidence that 90% of easily-accessible, mainstream music promotes and glorifies a criminal/destructive lifestyle.

They don't understand that this affects young black kids differently than other groups because the rappers THEMSELVES are black.

They simply don't believe in the intentional manipulation of the most popular and influential artform on the planet (hip-hop) despite knowing that we (blacks) don't control it or the media outlets.

Most importantly, these idiots don't understand the concept of "psychological warfare" and how its been used against blacks throughout history well before rap music ever existed:

Modern-day popular rap is being used as a form of "psychological warfare" against the black mind. It promotes a lifestyle and mindset that the white man wants us to be in.

This is why you aren't gonna hear songs like:

today.

They made sure to neutralize and extinguish the artform that has the greatest ability to uplift, motivate, educate and inspire the black youth.

#WakeUp!!!!!!!

AGAIN.

black love, unity, and music
Hmmm, I listened to a whole bunch of ignorant music growing up - but I wasn't "throwing lips at the shyt and handling it like a real bytch" because lil Kim said so, I didn't smoke sherm because I heard it in a song, I have never had gin and juice regardless of it being an anthem cuz I don't like gin, I have never actually put 5 on it, I didn't blow trees cuz bone or dr dre - I started smoking cuz my brother got me high, I didn't drop out of high school nor shoot anyone because of other rappers, nor have I tried sizzurp or rode spinners due to 3 six mafia. Y'all gotta start having some sense and realizing the dumbasses who jump off a cliff cuz a rapper said so were influenced by many factors, a big one being a lack of guidance from adults and common sense. I listened to everything from raunchy, to violent, to damn near demonic and I turned out fine. Lol @ the only reason a kid becomes a junkie being that they heard "molly Percocet" in a song :rudy:
You probably had strong parents and a solid upbringing. Alot of these kids don't.

Parents are supposed to have more influence then a rapper whom they never met. If not, parents have failed. I'm not sure why you're so confused about this

Exactly.

Cam Said i best :umad:

A Rapper makes explicit Adult Content So If a kid listens to it and learns some adult ish its the rappers fault? so by that logic if a kid goes to site and learns adult ish is it pinkies fault as well? :heh:

Yall missed the mark again congratulations.

People are influenced by what we hear and see.

That's it. Future is a problem but nikkas want to pretend shyt don't exist.

nikkas love to pretend. Keep playing when the youth is zoned out that is when the killing will start.

Don't know history you bound to repeat it.

Fools.

Blame the punk ass parents not rappers

That cop out has been tired since the first time some idiot spewed it.

This nikka is damn near 40.

At some point you realize that we all have social responsibility if we want this whole civilization thing to continue.

There's nothing wrong with making a song like this as an album/mixtape cut, but to make it your single and perform it on national television is triflin.

But I should've expected nothing less from a nikka that chose lean and pills over his own newborn son.

Ciara on the coli now?

:ehh:
