I like this tortured soul Future who's fukking up and can't rectify his situation cuz he doesn't know any better and basks in the fukkery. Even if you think he's shallow and the music, he does it in a way that is always entertaining to me with good flows, interesting cadences, good production and everything.

I like the comparison to the Weeknd someone said about The Weeknd displaying some kind of soul but I think that's what makes him a definitive artist of this generation. Both are imo. They are like reflections of each other imo.
shyt fukked up but you'd rather indulge and not look too deep inside to address shyt. You might look at the demons and etc but you're right back to saying fukk it and just living in the moment. The Weeknd is much more self aware than Future but is as selfish as he is in his music but always seems like he's aware of his feelings as well as other people's feelings/struggles with dealing with both even if he likes the idea of playing with emotions and manipulating people on some depressive sadistic shyt. The Weeknd in his music sounds like he's growing and I could understand someone feeling like he isn't showing growth in who he portrays himself to be in his music. I still think the music is good


High Quality fast food music is one of the best descriptions (from the Budden podcast) I've heard of his music.

Folks that don't think Hndrxx is good for some reason ummm I guess should move on especially if the WIZRD did nothing for you since it's the opposite of this.

Future is a much better artist than Buddens.

I forgot when he said it but I don't think that was a shot even if it does sound that way. I could understand someone taking it like that but what he's basically saying is there isn't much to the creation of it. Does anyone think Future spends tons of time on these songs. A lot of the songs you can tell he runs through but kills it. It's kinda based on how he works. For a lot of his material, you can tell he goes off the melody he creates to the beat real quick and let's that take him where it takes him. Nothing is bar heavy or crazy introspective. No grand concepts.

Even though the shyt Joe be spitting resonates more with me on the content side of things and the "bars", I would have to agree that Future is a better artist and I honestly think Joe would agree with that.
