This was in january of last year and future and drake hadnt worked with each other since a while before that. iirc the last track they had together was wait for you in may 22. And it seems there was drama in how that came about too. Future was the only verses on the song. Tems team wouldnt clear the sample for him. So he hit up Drake to talk to her and get it cleared. Somehow Drake ends up on the song after that. It was rumored she wouldnt clear it w/o him on it.
Here Jacob says future had 2 verses on the song originally.
She and her manager denied everything and said they cleared the sample immediately and Jacob never spoke to her at the grammys. I believe Jacob, there is no reason for him to lie about that

Drake fukks one of Future's girls and made a song about it on For All The Dogs but people thought it was an ode to Future
