The senior editor of GQ:

And the retweet:

The issue is the Tweets that quoted the article left out details like him smirking and/or laughing as he was saying these things. Future was trolling his ass off.

Anyway, Ak fat ass needs to sit down somewhere with his "insider info" talking about he heard Future didn't know about the beef.

nikkas bout to come itt saying Kendrick doesn’t get played in the hood
@newarkhiphop is white though. One thing life has taught me, even white people with black friends and family, they still white. They tastes for life are going to be different...

That's not a diss either NHH, it's just something life has taught me. I don't use white people as a cultural authority on anything endemically black, so when it comes down to how black people fukk with big name black rappers, white people are not a source I need to use for that. I'm actually black with black tastes, and it's something I can apply to food or anything else...

Dot and Future both big but with different appeal. I wouldn't say one is necessarily bigger than the other but I would say Future is less polarizing, and has more sons from his style...

The quality of both their music at peak can match each other, and black people of all types are known to fukk with both. But Dot does illicit more negative emotions from people...

Yeah no one cares about GQ trying to clear up their bad journalism. Either make it clear in the article or accept the endless interpretations.

The Kendrick hate is a product of the internet era, the same way Drakes existence in hip hop couldn't exist without it

Future is great

Not true, Leland never wanted him on that song but Drake loved it so much that he still sent a verse for it and Le left that shyt off...

It be crazy reading certain shyt on here :ohhh:

Trance was originally Drake's record, intended for Honestly Nevermind.

Drake gave the record to Metro, and Metro took his verse off.

This is why there was that weird little exchange where when the original version with Drake leaked, then the original Knife Talk without Drake also leaked in response to that.

This is all according to Akademiks.

Huh? :dahell:

The article itself is 100% clear. It's obvious most of the thread didn't read it.

The problem is those Tweets were meant to promote the article, no more no less, and Drake stans (like Ak) took the lack of context as "see, they're backpeddling!".

Which is probably why GQ deleted the Tweets and clarified what was said.

There’s a U.S. map of where artists get bumped
all-kendrick_lamar.png

Once you reach the Midwest he falls the fukk off

Dude isn’t wrong :mjlol:

Only songs that got bump outside like that is NLU and shyt off GKMC which was almost 15 years ago and Kendrick himself complained about LA not supporting TPAB

He is heavily manufactured and his demographic is different than Futures. Future has been much more influential stylistically, gets more play in the clubs and in the streets or the “culture”, Kendrick is much more of a darling of white liberals, casual mainstream hip hop fans, faux rap purists

This is the most future response ever :dead: :mjlol:

Let’s see if Aubrey runs back back to him again and pretends nothing happened like all his other beefs :sas1:

You have to take what these dudes say with the smallest grain of salt, and also realize their biases cloud their already questionable judgment.

There is zero reason to even compare Future and Kendrick to one another to begin with, they both excel and are great in their own right. But because nikkas have a hate boner for Kendrick and can't get over him winning a rap battle, here we are saying nonsensical things and making up shyt to fit narratives that exist nowhere except the internet.

shyt is jokes at this point.

Oh for sure I take everything on here with a grain of salt. Our track record on this site on these type of topics are usually more wrong than right. I take what I say with a grain of salt as well.

Dudes in here speaking for 50 states, 1000 of cities, multiple countries when they barely leave home lol. Posting maps of what artists listen to. Someone in here said the Midwest don’t listen to Kendrick. When I’m from the Midwest, me and the homies been listening to him since high school. Is that map accurate? Am I in a bubble?

All I know is whenever Kendrick comes to the city his events sell out.

All I know is the artists Coli claim are popping end up having a thread about them not being able to sell out their events so they have to cancel or downsize lol

All I know is posters are making threads asking why nobody got mase in their top 20

All I know is posters posting Aries spears opinions on Kendrick lol.

Now let me say I don’t think future is on Kendrick level in any shape or form — from a music to fanbase. But future has a gigantic following and his run is great.

Both statements can be true
