I liked the film but I'm disappointed by the lack of screen time Vin/Rock shared. That beef the media blew up made it seem like they had a dope scene together. Perfect storyline to give us Vin vs Rock part 2.

They should still be weary of Shaw because he killed Han but then again he did save his son.

A dope character moment would've been Vin explaining his motivations and seeing their reactions especially his chick vs what they did whereas everyone was perfectly fine with him again after he saved the day as usual.... like fukk it we'll let the fact you put Hobbs in jail, broke in our office and flipped all our cars over with us in it slide just like dat

His motivation made sense but 1 lil small scene like that would've made more sense of the ending

They made Hobbs the Hulk basically

Bow Wow gotta feel some type of way he's the only protagonist to never return

Okay I don't know if someone has said this or not because I haven't gone through the whole thread (plus come on, why would I) but this will be spoilers so i can get this off my chest:

The way this series has treated Elena is so sad its funny:russ:

So first, she comes in as this shining light in Fast Five, the one cop in Cuba not on a drug lords payroll. Awesome. She gets a tragic backstory, some motivation to clean up the streets, and forges a relationship with Dom on the strength of them being kindred spirits. Fast forward to Furious 6 and she willingly lets go of the dude she's in a relationship with because his ex shows back up (she doesn't know they're married yet) and is cool with the whole thing. Dom does her dirty and it doesn't even get one ounce of dialogue as to how she's dealing or how he's dealing in a very awkward situation. :russ:

But she got her job back with Hobbs and is now working in the States. Cool, good for her:ehh:

Furious 7 comes and she's a glorified secretary/babysitter, watching Hobbs' kid while he goes to be the big man on campus. She's a cop with skill and they say "yeah babysit the kid":russ:

Now with part 8, we find out she and Dom truly did love each other, conceived a child, and she was even willing to wait till after her son's dad came back from his honeymoon with the the woman he left her for to tell him the news:deadrose:

And what does she get for her troubles? A bullet to the brain:damn:

God did this woman a favor by taking her our of her misery but man you talk about underserving a character and just beating them into submission

If this were the 80s, it would've been rated R since that was the only surefire way to make sure your action flick became toys and a cartoon for children

This is where the movie got predictable to me...

I knew the minute that her and his kid was involved they weren't gonna even for a minute keep her around to fukk up Dom and Leddy. She had to go at some point it was all to convient in my eyes.

Naming the baby Brian too just to get us all emotional :to:

The Rock is pretty much John Matrix in this movie. Hell, we should have a real discussion how this 80s era fukkery somehow continues to be successful in this pussified soft ass world.

Don't know how I feel about

Them turning Statham into a good guy, but it worked and worked quick. So quick that I almost gave up on the movie when Dom "killed" him. The studio gonna eat great with making a 3 man super team out of Dom/Hobbs and Shaw but what villain can they cook up to compete? [\SPOILER]
Mofos gonna be facing Super Buu in the next one :bryan:
