Them turning Statham into a good guy, but it worked and worked quick. So quick that I almost gave up on the movie when Dom "killed" him. The studio gonna eat great with making a 3 man super team out of Dom/Hobbs and Shaw but what villain can they cook up to compete? [\SPOILER]

The 2 major plot points are because of family.

Dom has to work against the team because of his son and Elena, family.

Statham character did what he did because of family. Then he saved doms son,family,to get doms acceptance.

They even threw in the shaw brothers mom,more family

Every single thing in this film revolves around family.

I also thought this movie was a celebration of life after Brian's death too

For real tho about half way through it really hit me again that he wasn't gonna pop up at all

He was the perfect piece to this crew , just as important as Vin.

And he and Roman. I always thought he and Tyrese's relationship got the short end of the stick when Vin came back in the picture but they have better chemistry to me and story wise, they've been friends longer. I do like how they insinuate if Brian was around, this shyt wouldn't have been as difficult was it was for them

Dom lifted a grown man by the neck like the Undertaker Tyrese turned into 007 out of no where Ludacris and Game of thrones chick could probably hack Tony's suit. Dom Torreto in an Impala more dangerous then cap with his shield

I wouldn't say out of nowhere. They made Tyrese into a clown but, he always had hands and was about his business. In 2 Fast 2 Furious he was a Black Vin Diesel. He was a funny nikka in that movie also but, he was beating nikkas up too.
