Hope the black characters get decent lines in this one now that they got a black director. Watching Tyrese and Luda diss each other nonstop got played out fast.
Lol I don't think anyone gets any decent lines in the movie black or otherwise. Luda and Tyrese gotta be the comic relief tho cause it's damn sure not coming from vin or Michelle

Yea, he should be the one to step up. He was basically the black Paul Walker in 2 Fast. I wanna see him break a car window with his fist only to realize the door was open type shyt. Ludacris dissing him every minute just makes him look less cool than when he was introduced into the series.

Also, for anyone that might doubt that FGG can pull this off, this is a weird case of things all coming back together, and probably the reason he got the gig ahead of anyone else.
FGG did The Italian Job, which did alright and there was a push for a sequel, the script was finished but the project got bogged down in development hell. The sequel was titled "The Brazilian Job" and eventually did get made, getting re-worked as Fast Five.
So the Italian Job is the spiritual predecessor to the "new" Fast franchise that started with the huge tonal shift in Five; car based heist films.
He's the perfect guy for the job then, really. His work almost directly lead into this blockbuster franchise we have now.

If they throw enough money at The Rock to return he can definitely be the second lead and he's good for comic relief also. They might as well.

I feel like he's already signed up but I'm sure they're going to beef his role up a ton. They have to at this point. The whole dynamic of the team and the heartbeat of the movies is going to change. The heartbeat is normally Bryan but now, I guess it'll be Vin which is
so hopefully Vin as a producer is smart enough to know that Dom is way too stoic of a character and it needs to be someone else
