Would Trips have become a main eventer if he had jumped to WCW after the curtain call? I’m talking by the year 2000.

If he jumped right after the Curtain Call in 1996, no, he'd have been another random NWO guy like Syxx or Scott Norton.

If he jumped in 1998 or later, yeah probably, in the same way that Jeff Jarrett was a "main eventer".

A reminder that Bernie Mac and Wesley Snipes both personally requested to work with Triple H on their platforms.

:wow:

I still remember when Dave Meltzer mentioned him almost appearing on 106 & Park to guest judge a Freestyle Friday, but negotiations fell through.

I'll always give Trips credit for staying after the "Incident at MSG"

And truth be told, he definitely reinvented himself numerous times over the years. When he became "The Game" and the "Cerebral Assassin", he definitely kicked it into high gear.

We also gotta give respect to the man for having the foresight to marry the Boss's daughter.

If I was friends with Trips, I'd probably be slapping that motherfukker on the back too.

But I'm not.

And he's buried and tried to bury numerous people over the years. It is what it is.
What Jericho, Sting, Undertaker did was reinventions. Only thing Cripple Ache ever changed was his speech. He dropped that stupid accent & stopped saying "ugh" after every sentence. He never upgraded his moveset throughout his career, his character pretty much been the same, & he depends on his opponent or partner(s) to help boost him up.

The Game

I'm counting 4 but at the very least you can say 3 times he has reinvented himself

You might not like the gimmicks, and that's fine, but if we gonna count going from Surfer/Wrestler to Disgruntled Crow, to Red and Black Crow, BACK to Crow, then we gotta count Trips shyt and hell we might even be missing a few gimmicks.

Taker has been Deadman and American Badass....all those other gimmicks were really just sub gimmicks if we wanna be real

Jericho though...I will not speak ill of one of the GOATS...I just wish he'd go home and see his kids every once and a while :mjcry:

I'm literally doing 1999 WWF rewatch on the Network at the minute and HHH is fukking terrible as a heel. Coming out at the start of every Raw cutting these tedious 20 minute promos talking about how it's his time...shyt is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and he's getting go away heat.

Only good things about WWF in 99 are Austin and Rock. Literally everything else on Raw is a chore to watch.
Was listening to the Bryan and Vinny retro podcast and they're shytting on 2000 RAW/Nitro, Alvarez also hates The American Badass Taker:pachaha:

And Bryan mentioned that the HHH reign of terror started at that moment (Dude was beating Test & Albert on his own on Smackdown), cause he was getting more tv time and being pushed more than the current WWF Champion, The Rock; who infact was getting pinned by Christian & Al Snow on RAW :bryan:

Oh I forgot, he changed his shirt too. Never elevated his game, his character was the same, & he rode everybody else's coattail. No matter what shirt he wore, he was always about himself. This dude been around since the early 90's & gave us the same bullshyt since Bush #2 was in office.

Sting switched his look, changed his entire persona, & added to his moveset. The only thing the Connecticut Cripple added to his moveset was the sledgehammer & that was in the late 90's. Ever since then, all the way to the last match that he had with Shawn, Taker, & Kane (who even changed more than Quad H) has been giving us the same old shıt.

I will keep saying this, HOW the Rock was able to stay as popular as he did while being booked the way he was is incredible. why he allowed it, I'll never know
