A$AP Rocky got embraced. Probably gets as much love as Big Sean in Detroit.

The problem is that in NYC and Detroit street music is #1. Rocky music had street-isms and was street adjacent at times but it wasn’t all the way street.

That’s why in the early 10’s someone like French Montana was getting way more love and play in the town compared to an A$AP Rocky or Joey Bada$$.

Coke Boyz movement was stronger than A$AP Mob and Pro Era.

A$AP Rocky also never really made mainstream bangers you only hear him on mainstream type shyt on his features. His music was always experimental and it only got more so as his career went on.
You make very good points :ehh:

I think people want Griselda to cross over and make club music on some In Da Club or How We do type of style. That might not really get them far. That’s why you see them staying to what got them further. All the success they did get without radio is more impressive.

who wants that?

Con the one bytching and moaning

I think he’s upset cause his music not getting played on radio or someone is making that call to not play their stuff, songs like Chanel Pearls is a radio joint. Along with his Luda feature. Either way him being played on a Hot 97 does nothing to a fan who listens to them.

No it’s not maybe Sirius XM type shyt but not no Hot 97.

Griselda has no radio songs only Benny with Johnny P’s Caddy (Cole helps) and Armani Caesar got some joints (Drill-A-Rama, Palm Angels).

We in an era of melodies and drill music this shyt ain’t gonna cut it for mainstream.

I think you're on the right track with that one, bro. I don't think the fans are concerned about more accessible music as it is wanting ppl to appreciate and acknowledge what THEY like. they just want more media exposure.. the fans wants their artists to have their day in the sun.. especially from the underground hip hop scene. The material/content isn't the issue as it is the group reclusive.. keepin it a real, ther's a segment of Gen Z that is really pushing underground hip hop to the forefront.. fans are hoping to break through the 'glass ceiling' so to speak so that 'griselda' can be more competitive for their petty online fan wars. stan culture has a grip on the music industry and sometimes determines if the art sinks or swims..
I don't see Griselda baiting the GP with 'quick lil bangers' with City Girls or pairing with pop rnb acts to get placements on streaming playlists. The whole ethos of underground music culture is being anti-commercialism to a certain extent. They wave that 'indie' flag loudest and would consider themselves sell-out if the go all the way like some fans want them too. The art is plateuing a bit, but that's bound to happen with these sort of acts.

...that has nothing to do with my point....and besides that exact point was already addressed.

you said people want them to do in da club, how we do type joints and crossover. Who in the fukk are these people?

Majority in here are saying Con's bytching and whining over something he should be happy about...he and griselda carved out a pretty loyal fanbase.

Most people who agree with what Funk flex says obviously ain’t fans of the music they make and rather listen to some other shyt bad mouthing the boom bap stuff they make. Funk flex is the same dude who talked shyt about Drake but puts him in a top rappers list. It’s just too obvious to see. We’ve seen Benny, Westside and Conway make songs with Wayne, Ross, Luda, Tyler The Creator, Joey Badass, Russ and other guys who hit the mainstream.

I feel we had this argument before and we are about to have it again smh.

ASAP MOB was ALWAYS bigger than cokeboyz. We talking about demographics here. Maybe the older nikkas jacked CB harder.

But the youth ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS rocked with Rocky and em more. Thats why their group have overall more success globally all acorss the board.

VLONE, Carti, Ian Connor, AWGE all that shyt popped off cause the youth always fukked with Flacko harder. Even Trav was dikk riding and geting Bari on his first songs and shyt.

Rocky is one of Keef's favorite rappers, young nikkas aint jacking no fukking French Montana like that lmfao :mjlol:

Also for the topic at hand. Conway is buggin. We are in the internet era. They are very successful in this new music space.

Alot of the biggest rappers in the game aint getting spinz like that on radio. Hot97 aint bumping NBA youngboy, Uzi, Carti, Durk and em like that.

They get the majority of their sales off the internet. A space where Griselda is very strong in. If anything they just need to do what they are doing more and they will be fine.

Hard to complain about the struggle when you on the gram looking like this too btw :comeon: .
