When it came to exclusives during this time, Clue and Stretch & Bobbito were the kings. There were plenty of times where you would hear an “unreleased” track on Stretch & Bob’s show or a Clue tape that you wouldn’t hear officially anywhere else until possibly a year later.
Like 3 different version of Mobb Deep - Eye For an Eye seemed to hit the radio in late '94, I noticed.

Mixtapes played a big part in that.

Most albums from that era, by the time they dropped, I knew half the album by heart already due to album cuts being on mixtapes
The worst part of it was hearing a fire track and waiting on the album to drop for a DJ-less quality version of the track and it being left off.

95' was the last classic summer of the 90s

1996 had a fukked up vibe even before 2pac got killed

Summer 96 I almost got stabbed :huhldup:nikkas wasn't trying to have a good time no more
Sorry you almost got shanked thun, but your misfortunes didn't take away from the dope music that was dropping that year. nikkas been getting occasionally stabbed since Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington was hot in the streets :pachaha:
