I swear man, one of these days, nikkas gonna learn how to read the same way they learned how to argue...

You said yourself 'true Dame was important on the business side'... OK, then that's it. I didn't say Dame wrote his shyt. He def. put in work on that business side. If every nice ass nikka on the mic could do it alone, a whole buncha nikkas we don't know would be "poppin'". You definitely need both ends covered.
Hold up. You said Dame had "just as much to do with Jay's success as Jay did". THAT'S what I'm calling bullshyt on. I read it right the first time. Whoever showed Bill Gates and Steve Jobs how to market their products and run the business was important but you can seriously think that person was as important as the person who invented Windows and the Ipod. It's like saying Suge had as much to do with Dre's success as Dre did.

I probably should have noted Jay's success at that time... now everything post-Roc, that's not Dame. But yeah, as Roc-a-Fella was created and run, Dame gets the credit for that. Of course, his personality was also the end of his run, but his personality also is what made shyt happen in addition to Jay's music. It's the same thing I'd say about Suge, same I'd say about Irv, same I'd say about Russell. A lot of these artists we know coulda had a whole different career trajectory without that person who made the business moves. That's fact. There's a lotta dope MFs whose careers probably suffered most because they didn't have someone along with them to make moves.

Jay's talent is what was most important. Not trying to say Dame didn't play an important role, but you can have the most aggressive personality in the world, but if the product ain't hittin, what we talkin about? No way he was AS important as Jay. Whats Dame doing now? When Dre, Snoop and Pac were gone, Death Row fell. The TALENT is whats MOST important.

Talent's very important. INSANELY important.

Talent with no one to properly push it is a new artist sitting on a label HOPING their shyt gets treated right.

People talk bad about Puff... maybe rightly so. But Biggie on TVT or Big Beat or fukkin' Pallas Records... sells about 200,000 of an incredible album, maybe.

I never saw a artist try to discredited for their success as much as Hov lol

People keep saying u need a dude to bark on dudes like Dame. But people fail to realize the reason he could bark on execs. Jay was bringing in millions which turn to hundreds of millions. If u really think about it most of his tirades happened after their success. Cats act like Hov wasn’t in the meetings too lol

I would love to see Dame bark on dudes for behalf of Memphis Bleek without Hov in his back pocket lol

Who's discrediting? Not I. I've seen nikkas discredit him, and they're completely wrong about that.

I give Jay all his credit, he had all the right to say "make another Hov", because Dame didn't "make" him... nobody "makes" a talent like that, not Dame, not Jaz, no one... but the belief that Jay in the mid-90s woulda done it by himself on Payday Records or some shyt is a farce.

Talent means nothing if the business is not right.

The same way I just made this Freschetta brick oven pizza. It was already what it is without me...but it wasn't ready to be eaten until I put it in the oven. Jay-z and Kanye were just frozen pizzas champ, Dame came and put them nikkas in the oven and got em hot and ready to be served to the masses.

And business don't mean shyt without talent. Especially when you talking about a rapper whose career is going on 23 years now. Not saying that biz isn't important. But MORE important? Fukk no. Where Dame at? Where Jay at? Where Dre and Snoop at? Where Suge at(before incarceration)?
