Almost 47 year old rock vs almost 42 year old Brock :snoop:. There’s legit no pay per view they try to make good at any point in the year anymore. Rock vs Roman would’ve been a disaster too :mjlol:. Do they just not have any sort of long term plan besides feed everyone to Roman to no success with the crowd and now that he’s gone just have Brock splatter someone and then vanish for a few months, leaving raw with no world title to compete over? We don’t need rock headlining anyway when he wouldn’t be there often either and new guys need to get over. This spring will mark 20 years since he headlined his first time and 6 years since his last match. He hasn’t been a full time guy since the spring of 2002. That was 16 and a half years ago now. How does nobody call Vince out on this shyt?

Sometime after the Ruthless Aggression era the WWE went back to the old school "Rock 'N Wrestling" type of booking where the company orbits one main star. It was Cena, it was Reigns, and now it's Brock. You could argue that Brock has been the main star this whole time since he has been so protected, but I think they were building him up like Andre the Giant only so one day the underdog Roman Reigns would finally overcome him and become the new "Hulkster."

At this point it's obvious that Vince isn't changing his mind despite practically having all of his plays handed to him. He has guys on TV every week that the audience wants to root for and it means nothing to him. You have seen guys get punished for getting over on their own. They lost their minds after they absorbed WCW and Austin and the Rock moved on. They proved that they didn't really know what to do besides pushing the reset button and sticking to the old script from 40 years ago. XFL is going to go the same way because he's mad stubborn and never learns SMH.

Anyone would assume it was roman reigns who won

:russ:
About a decade now that the runner up in the rumble ends up going on last anyway.

2007: Shawn is the runner up in the rumble and Shawn vs cena goes on last
2008: neither edge or taker were in the rumble
2009: Triple H is the runner up and wins the title a month later to face Randy
2010: cena is the runner up and gets a title shot a month later and I’m pretty sure his match went on after edge vs Jericho
2011: del rio and santino were the last two :hhh:
2012: Jericho is the runner up and challenges punk midway through the event while the Sheamus is in the opening match
2013: Ryback is the runner up to cena. Obvious situation here where Ryback goes on early
2014: Roman is the runner up. Shield goes on midway through the show. There’s only one world title though
2015: Rusev is the runner up. He goes on early. Only one world title
2016: dean is the runner up. He gets a title shot a month later. Roman obviously ends up getting the shot at wrestlemania. Only one world title.
2017: Roman is the runner up. He goes on last vs taker in a match that had no business happening.
2018: Roman is the runner up and still goes on last vs Brock.
