I actually still think Peter Quillin stands a better chance against lil g than Jacobs does

I actually think Andy Lee aka #kronksfinest would be the toughest matchup for him

I agree with your post except the end.

No one at Middleweight really wants to fight him or he'd already have all the belts.

The only belt he doesn't have is the WBC belt, that bullshyt WBA super, regular title just created more confusion

and like I always said nobody cares about that WBO belt, yet Andy lee said he would fight GGG, yet somehow he is fighting Jacobs

Danny Jacobs is GGG mandatory since he's the WBA regular champion for that belt

Jacobs got dropped by Sergio Mora....lil g might KO him within the first 3 rounds
Maybe it's just me, but I think people are making too much of the Mora knockdown. I was there for that event, I saw it in person. Jacobs just got caught slipping. He dropped and hurt Mora, and tried to finish him off. He got reckless coming in and get hit with a good shot. He was never really hurt. It was just a flash knockdown, nothing more.

I disagree. Quillin has power, but he's not as good of a boxer.

I've already posted my thoughts on GGG/Jacobs

While I think GGG beats Jacobs, I don't think Jacobs gets annihilated like everybody else does. He's got enough skills and power to hold his own until he just gets overwhelmed. But we don't often see GGG fight people with as much power as he does, and Jacobs fits the bill :manny:

I'm actually looking forward to that fight :manny:

It will be easy for Canelo, he is a counter puncher, he wants a guy who was going to come straight at him, like Floyd said GGG ain't got special effects, he fighting bums.

shyt is just a boogie man hype job, so when Canelo beats him he looks even better and becomes a bigger star.

GGG so great he won't even move up one weight class lmao, he so great he turned down Kell Brook, should be easy work for the monster GGG right, he turned down Lara too, but they say nobody wants to fight him. It's a hype show, HBO does this shyt time and time again, when they get a fighter they can market.
Hbo has one of the best marketing teams in the world. They really got nikkas fooled into believing lil g and Chocalito are the two best fighters in the world.

@ 3:00 :leon:

Glad we can put this shyt to bed now...catchweight stans :scusthov:

We done went from fukken promotional company stans...to TV network stans...to goddamn catchweight stans in online boxing discussions :scusthov:

Hopefully this is the last we hear of this shyt...and he's setting a good precedent in the sport if he stays true to his word...gotta respect the way he dictates the promoter/boxer relationship like how it's supposed to be done...Oscar/Golden Boy are looking out for their bottom line and weighing risk/reward...Canelo could give a fukk less about any of that shyt and just wants to be great...throwback fighter...

This board already hates Roach, they gonna hate him more now:
:lolbron:

Roach: Golovkin-Canelo No Longer a Walkover, Very Competitive - Boxing News

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is no longer under the impression that WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) will steamroll right over WBC champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs).

Golovkin is the mandatory challenger for Canelo's WBC title. The two camps have begun negotiations for a fall showdown.

They have 15 days to reach an agreement before the WBC holds an official purse bid on May 24th in Mexico City.

Roach was ringside last Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He watched Canelo score a crushing one-punch knockout of former champion Amir Khan in the sixth round of an HBO Pay-Per-View headliner.

Roach, who trained Khan in the past, was very impressed with the series of moves that Canelo utilized to set up the finisher. Roach worked the corner of Miguel Cotto when he lost a twelve round decision to Canelo last November at the Mandalay Bay.

"You could see that he was getting closer [to Khan]. He threw a few right hands to the body earlier and I think he was doing that to measure him. That was a beautiful move [to set up that right hand]. I think [Canelo is] becoming a better fighter than people think. Him and Triple G is not just a walkover anymore. I think its a good fight," Roach told BoxingScene.com.

Roach is still siding with Golovkin to win the contest. He considers Golovkin to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.

"Triple G is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, today I think. It's a very competitive fight at this point. I think its a good fight. I don't think its a blowout. I think its an interesting good fight," Roach said.

If Canelo refuses to go forward with the mandatory defense, then the World Boxing Council will remove him from the position of middleweight champion and transfer that recognition to Golovkin.
