I agree Mobb was violent but not more than Tha Eastsidaz. Im NY all day every day but I gotta give it up to the west when it comes to gangsta music made by gangsters.
Its a tough decision though. I feel like there aint a gangster out west that could go toe to toe with DMX in his prime. Musically or live performance.
Put 50 in his mixtape days up there. Plus you add the impact of DMX and/or 50 and you see where the conversation is going.
Keef made the biggest impact as far as Chicago drill, that is not touching Shmurda. Rowdy and Bobby can actually spit too, you cant really say that about much of chicago's artists except for bibby and sometimes herb.
Thats like saying without the trap you cant call it trap music. That eliminates like half the game for the conversation we talking about the music anyway.
But to answer you, the movement is not even 6 months old, with only 1 crew in the limelight. Be patient.
