That Big E tweet...
Twice as good to get half as far
Kofi is literally everything they say they want: athletic and creative as hell, great in the ring, good on the mic, beloved by the boys, an excellent spokesman for the brand due to both his affable personality and clean record.yea, that's not really an accomplishment considering where kofi should've been.
kofi should've had a world title before the new day even existed. and the fact that kofi has been a model citizen the entire time, just makes it worst.
Kofi was supposed to win the rumble, money in the bank, or king of the ring in 2010 and get his main event push . I haven’t given up hope he’ll get his big singles run one day, hopefully with the rest of new days still as part of the team tooKofi is literally everything they say they want: athletic and creative as hell, great in the ring, good on the mic, beloved by the boys, an excellent spokesman for the brand due to both his affable personality and clean record.
In a world where guys like Sheamus and Jinder are former WWE Champions, there's no reason Kofi hasn't held the belt.

Discussing their legacy is definitely going to be interesting, especially if they stay true to their word and retire if Cokeboy ever gets his wish and breaks them up.New Day pretty much the GOATs at this point...

Those negative opinions you listed are from like a few years ago. For as goofy comedy as they are, they've also shown by now that they can get serious, they can go toe to toe with anyone and the ring, all 3 have become fantastic talkers, they routinely put on the funniest, most natural comedy promos that they clearly are helping to write themselves, they consistently put on great matches, they're amazing at PR, they're always coming up with new tweaks to keep it fresh, they were great heels and faces both, multiple reigns as both...just every box ticked.Discussing their legacy is definitely going to be interesting, especially if they stay true to their word and retire if Cokeboy ever gets his wish and breaks them up.
On the one hand, you got those who will probably never look at them as more than a comedy tag team. Hell, some people still say Woods can't wrestle (which is just.....nikka....).
On the other hand, what they've accomplished as a team both in the ring and outside as ambassadors for the brand is pretty incredible. They're "just" a tag team, but they're a tag team that's gone further than teams are really supposed to go in modern WWE. The only team to have passed them up is The Shield, and that's a faction comprised of three cats who were handpicked to be top guys. Also, no doubt we'll be hearing tag teams and Black wrestlers cite them as inspiration in about 10 years or so.
They're certified Hall of Famers at this point, but the question is will the company see just how far they can go, or will be talking about them in terms of "What if" like so many Black wrestlers before them.
