The fact you can come here illegally, give birth, and your kids have the same rights of citizenship that my ancestors fought to gain makes me furious.
I mean... "Illegality" is a matter of perspective.
The same people talking about "illegals" or "my great grandparents became citizens 'the right way'" never talk about how it happened.
They were white people that showed up at a port of entry, had their named stamped in a ledger, and... That's it.
*Stamp!*
"Welcome to America, white person!"
Lest we forget Non-white people were pretty much barred from entry into this place since damn near the 1940s.
The process now is expensive, tedious, and intentionally bureaucratic.
The majority of "illegals" in this country were here on a student/worker visa & it expired. And since America is some capitalist bullshyt, that process is also a straight up obstacle course you're forced to pay for.
And it's funny as hell when MURica Stans talk about undocumented immigrants, it's always, ALWAYS Brown people from Central America that speak "Mexican;" never the half million white Canadians or half million white Europeans over here on expired visas.
ICE won't be kicking down Sven, Günter & Olga's front doors anytime soon.
Not to mention Trump's bytch ass whinging about "ChAaAain Migration....!" All the while, his mail order bride turned 3rd baby mama Melania came over here on a genius visa (when all she was doing was showing her pumpum in nude magazines) and brought her parents to America... Via chain migration.
Or Elon Musk's bytch ass bragging about defrauding immigration by coming here on a student visa, but never enrolled in classes... Just worked on his startup.
Media reports show Elon Musk worked illegally in America early in his career, illustrating some of the challenges in the immigration system.

Got all this smoke for poor brown people that contribute so much to this country desperate to escape the hellscape in their home countries that America created... over cacs straight up breaking the law because they believe the rules don't apply to them.
