They argue that the 14th amendment has been abused. It speaks towards enslaved people. It was made for US, black Americans that were enslaved - and our descendants - to grant us US citizenship. It has been abused and turned into a mockery to grant illegal immigrants birthright citizenship for waltzing on to this fine country and giving birth. The 14th amendment is for black Americans only.

Although you can't deport legal citizens, a part of me believes that if Trump could, he would; they've been dog-whistling about this for months now.

A lot of people think it's all about just getting illegal immigrants out of the country, but if Trump, MAGA, conservatives, racists, etc, had it their way, they'd deport the LEGAL immigrants as well.

A lot of their base doesn't want any immigrants in the US at all. It's not just about illegals but trying to find or create a loophole where even immigrants who gained citizenship can be deported “just because”.
