Supposedly he's working on some hockey movie that he claims is his last film. Disgusting. This fat fukk needs to end his career the very same way it began... with remakes and sequels being the go to trend for Hollywood right now, might as well complete the cypher and give us one last go round with one of, if not the greatest duo in comedy history..

Edit: and I know some of you hate sequels but fukk it, what else does this fat slob have to offer outside of another Clerks? His non view askewniverse movies fukkin suck, although I did think Zack and Miri was good for a couple laughs.

i met him and we spoke about cinema and music..this dude knows and has a crazy prince collection (bootlegs rares etc)..his docu-film about prince got scrapped during filming..i would love to see those rushes!!!

I just watched Chasing Amy last week, and thought it was Kevin Smith who introduced me to Degrassi and that whole Comic Con movement, before they became popular.

I want one more View Askew movie. I love watching this man talk, but he's oversaturating the market with his 300 podcasts.

His show on Hulu is solid too "Spoiers" I'd watch it more if Hulu didnt have so many damn commercials. I use adblock, so i dont actually watch em, it's just a black screen, but it will say "2 Commercials 2:30 " and really, it will take something like 5 minutes before the show comes back.

Goon is such an awful movie, and almost every review I've seen has been mostly positive. It's not funny, his character is half a retard sometimes, but regular others, Jay Baruchel plays one of the least funny characters in film history, and SWS falls in love with an ugly chick.

Yeah, everyone who I know that saw it thought it was great.. but I thought it was really average. Not terrible but nothing worth raving about.

I don't like Smith doing movies outside of his element, Red State was okay, but not classic or extremely memorable. I liked the idea of hit somebody, but to be honest it sounds too similar to Goon.. if it's anything like that I'll be disappointed.

At this point though, I don't know if he has it in him to do something that'll live up to any of the Askewniverse movies. He seemed out of touch with Zach and Miri.. tried too hard to be a Apatow film, and had a dated mindset with the plot which seemed like he still thought it was 1996 when he wrote it. I liked the movie, but it definitely wasn't a strong point in his career.

As for the Smodcast shyt, as someone who loves listening to Kevin Smith talk, even I can't get into that stuff. Too many of them to listen to and they're all long as fukk.
