If currently Microsoft is the only one with a real interest in taking these paths then the idea that they wouldn’t be the dominant force in it is absurd.

I don’t think there’s a provable way to demonstrate this harms the industry. The people objecting to this are either taking Sony’s stance or objecting for objection sake.

Realistically even if this deal was blocked directly seems like the deal could still be achieved by selling some of the more valuable components of Activision piecemeal. They could literally sell Microsoft the teams like Infinity Ward that make Call of Duty and the rights to the franchise or sell the most valuable pieces of the company but maintain it then take the remaining skeleton portion of it private and pay the shareholders out that way.

In a way like how Square Enix sold Embracer Group western development teams and franchises but SE as a company remains.
I think whatever happens all parties involved make it work.

I think everyone is just doing their job at this point:manny:

How could I forget? :snoop: In addition to everything else I said, "console parity" on one of the biggest 3rd party games will be gone, too. Yeah, Sony doesn't want this happening. AAA 3rd party games showing the hardware difference between the 5 and the X...not the end of the world at all, but Sony will be legitimately threatened. No wonder Jim is so shook. This is all Ws for MS.

Maaaan, these sony stans will :leostare: Django

What's that nikka doing on a horse :gucci:
You have 35k posts in 2 years(not counting other forums like resetera that we know you post on) but xbox stans are the ones spiraling out of control :laff: cant make this delusion up :laff:
The Delusioin is pretty bad in this thread, I mean look at this shyt...
The issue is they're saying this, all while refusing to provide any legal remedies to regulators. This is why we entered phase 2 of this investigation recently. The fact that MS refuses to put this in writing for regulators, means MS is planning to make the game exclusive at a certain point. Likely when they pass a certain threshold for the amount of COD players that migrate over to Xbox from PS.
M$ has done all these things and more. The fact you think they have to put anything in writing that YOU DEMAND is hilarious and the proper response is :camby:
Google and a few other companies have also
:laff:
The FTC are the only ones that have a legit argument.

Cloud/subscription is a new market in which microsoft is in the unique position of owning all the servers, having huge head start and now trying to own some of the largest IP.

They gotta get some explanations/concessions from MS about how competition will be possible in that space.
Not even that, what you saying about the cloud space was never an issue before. OnLive or Amazon or wherever had access to the same 3rd party games as everyone else. Even sony has Gaikai. This topic never existed then and xbox cloud gaming hasn't taken off because it works better than any streaming service before it. So just existing isn't a crime. The crime is businesses lobby for all types of things. And sony stans are turning a blind eye to the fact that sony has a business relationship with the FTC and or the CTU or whatrever its called.
Theres nothing to argue, no one really knows whats gonna happen. Not even these youtuber lawyers people keep posting

Anyone that thinks its a sure bet either way are lying to themselves even the execs at Microsoft
So nobody knows anything.. according to a fanboy stan who doesn't know anything himself and wouldnt take the time to learn about these things from reliable sources. That's your reality, for the rest of us who do take time, this deal is a done deal. And will be completed by no later than March 2023. They was hoping to have it done by Dec from all accounts.

Another one
This has nothing to do with this threads topic but I guess it was a shot of dopemine :mjtf:

I am amazed at what I am reading here. This is actually so embarrassing lmao. This is a grown man in a senior editor position at IGN.

Do these bots really expect these corporations to risk their image and shareholders' money getting into a petty back and forth because regulators may prevent this deal from settling??
I remember pre coli when people was calling Ryan out for being an Xbot. Dude is no different than meech.

You do know that most third party games have performed better on the ps5 right? No major difference despite this supposed massive gap in power.

And ps5 exclusives still embarrass what Xbox has put out

Not going back and forth, but let's just say the playing field isn't even.
