Them not making it into the playoffs last year really f*cked them up for years to come
I know like I'm gonna sound like I'm shooting these nikkas some bail but them making the playoffs ain't got shyt to do with this years squad. Not having 10 players who all got drafted to the league who were major contributors and not recruiting and relying on the portal is what's fukkin them.

We watched Jordan Travis grow into the QB he ended up being for us by the time he left. He had rough bumps along the way, but ultimately gave it his all for the program.

I miss that. DJ doesn’t give a flying fukk about being here.

This is the downfall of this era of college football. Proper mercenaries out there with no investment in the program.

Both of the lines overrated. The coaches don’t have Jordan to bail them out this year. The play calling suck pauz! 7-5 incoming. Them recruits that we got now gonna bail smh lol.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
It sucks that this had to happen to us. It seems like some fukk shyt is always happening to us, but—I’m a silver linings kind of guy. I’m going to say this disaster of a season is going to offer a lot of opportunity for future improvement.

Since Mike isn’t going anywhere, he’ll be forced to make changes to his staff. These guys that are not prepared to coach/recruit at this level, they’ll be replaced.

This will also help Mike in a roundabout way. One of Mike’s issues as a coach is that his standards aren’t “elite” compared to other coaches. He seems to be more so a “that’s good enough” kind of coach in terms of staff/recruiting, which is not satisfactory at FSU. I also understand that FSU’s staff has been leaning more into the X’s and O’s or motivator type coaches than flatout recruiters.

Yet, he has to move into more of a hybrid recruiter/motivator kind of staff because there’s still too many talent deficiencies on this team in year five. Obviously, you can’t depend almost entirely on the transfer portal. You have to go out and actually secure talent and develop it. This shyt has to be really clear to him now.

On another note, I still don’t get the recruitment of DJ. I really don’t. It’s like they never watched him play before. DJ has never been a player who you can put the entire game on his shoulders. He’s just not a surgical kind of QB. He’s a guy that can play well when he’s asked to do limited things within the context of a gameplan. He’s not a 40-45 passes guy. The fact this staff was ready to rock out with DJ and these have been the fan plans, I don’t know what they were looking at.

We really need an OC. We do not have any plays that are just an easy 4/5 yards. We barely attack the middle of the field, we don’t set up plays, I could go on and on. I think this also is one of those things where it will decide what kind of coach Norvell becomes. If he can “recognize” that his offense for the majority of his time at FSU has not been elite, and has the wherewithal to act on it, that will be an extremely promising sign.
