Damn, he looked that bad? Last fight he didnt look good but that was bc dude he fought was a undefeated defensive fighter. Wasnt that fight like 2 months ago? Why the rush him out that soon?

I too gave a pass on that recent HBO fight...the brazil opp was fighting scary

But tonight...He looked a lot worse then that last HBO fight...a lot worse

He's not the same Verdejo that was slumping nikkas...10 rds against some random out of shape Mexican...couldn't even hurt dude...a lot of boxing but still eating punches :mjcry:

Spence looked damn good. Nice body attack, but also nice power punching to the head. Now, I think he needs to fight someone who's a rough and tumble type dude, so I think Ghost (or no joke Ch:mjlol:ves) would be best next for him. I don't agree that he'd run through all the top welters right now. Someone who crowds, punches from weird angles, anyone else that's a good body puncher. The idea that he'd beat Manny rn is ridiculous.

However, Spence is a legit 147'er and could easily be up to 154lbs, so he will give a lot of the 140 guys turned 147 trouble, plus he has next level skill set. Will be interesting to see who they pair him against next, you'd think one legit step up fight next, before a fight for a belt. Dude looks good but there are a few things you'd like to see change before a fight against the top level. For example, what does Spence do when he catches a Brook cross while trying to throw a body punch? Same w other top welters. But all in all dude looks like he's ready for top level.

Not like this. You see the type of leverage he was putting behind those punches, algeria might have shytted on himself.

Thurman's power ain't like spence, he lands accurate blows on soft areas of like the temple and the spot above the ear to get his knock downs, he ain't being punishing guys like that since he stepped up comp

it's like Ward said, everybody label him a puncher too early in his career until he started fighting only the best and stopped scoring the KO's as frequently.

Thurman is a boxer puncher, but he don't got the type of firepower spence got. He got Ray Leonard type power might have more.

I disagree with you on this. Thurman hits hard & it's not about landing in vulnerable areas either. You can hear his shots thud when they land. Thurman's one of the few guys that looks like he's trying to punch through the target. I amazed he doesn't have more hand problems then he does.
