I hate to lose Bud really goin to miss his player development, the worst part is not getting anything for him.

As far as coaches not a big fan of Fiz thought he was horrible with the Grizzlies. Marc Jackson is someone I like. TBH I hope we hire an innovative European coach or something

Bud basically said I'd rather leave millions of dollars on the table and leave my job than to continue to be a part of this organization. Wow. How bad does that look to the next coach coming in? It tells me a couple things:

-Bud and Ressler/Schlenk's relationship was not good in the building and forced Bud to make a move

-Bud had been planning his exit long before anything became public

You don't think that story about the owner getting in his face had substance to it?

It was an anonymous story about the owner of a lottery team being mad that his coach won 2 games late in the season vs. 2 playoff teams but I definitely think there was friction regarding the direction of the team, and Bud, who lost power, had less of a voice in the organization. I'm not shocked that there was obvious friction between Bud and management/ownership

Bruh Bud wanted to keep the core from last season, meaning resigning Millsap, THJ, and keeping Dwight/or Horford (when he was here). Looking at how all parties have played recently, I think it's safe to say Bud's decisions on personal is shytty.

I actually liked Fizdale. Thought he was a hell of a coach and player developer

Thj was good when healthy, millsap was injured, dwight had a good year, and horford is an all star

Bud had a clear conflict of interest with being coach and President/GM. GM's plan for the future, coaches coach to win now. Bud wanted it both ways but he overplayed his hand and kept a limited core together together that had no chance of winning a title

But if we're gonna be all the way real about it, this rebuild doesn't happen if Bud is better at his job as President while he was her

In Schlenk we trust my boy. The franchise has a chance at greatness through the draft. If Bud had his way, we'll be locked in cap hell like Charlotte. I don't think he has what it takes to coach superstar personalities.

He seems much more comfortable with his system guys. NYK is a good job for him. There won't be too many egos that won't play within his system there.

I would say those guys (minus Dwight) worked for Bud system. If he kept them, who knows. ... Yes they were getting older but... time to restart now :francis:
