This could also be the grand marne talking but only 4 or 5 times legitimately compete for the finals in a given year. Unless bud goes to SA where he gonna go... Toronto :francis: they gonna blow it up before you know it

I see the state of the organization as more of a reason for Bud to want out than developing young talent. I'm not sure he trusts Ressler (his comments before the playoffs last season, his decision not to resign Horford & the decision to keep Millsap at last season's trade deadline) or Schlenk to have his best interests at heart and at some point, maybe not now, maybe not this season, the losing is going to grate on him. It would be impossible not to. So we'll see, but I think it's an optimistic view to think a top 5-10 coach would be cool to be a part of a long term rebuild after he just got demoted.
If bud goes. Well it was real. Gave me my favorite season as fan ever. Hopefully shlenk soaked up enough game for the logo to make the right hire. Maybe even coach ham :mjpls:

Do any of you seriously think Bud will be here long enough to see this rebuild turn around? Keep in mind what's happened to him:

-He got demoted back to just being a coach within this yr
-Remained silent this summer when Schlenk came on board, BTW I still don't think they're on the same page
-He's gonna be in for alotta losing and Bud has never been in a situation where his teams have lost like this or been this bad

I think Bud knows he has an owner who changes his mind as often as the wind blows and he has a GM who wants to build the team differently than he wants to coach it. I could see Bud resigning by next summer at the absolute latest
Coach bud said it himself he is enjoying coaching this group. I dont think he has an issue with tanking. He has a group that has completely bought in with no stubborn veterans like Dwight. Bud sees the long-term and he is content with it.

Bud has even changed the offense to a more warriors like offense, hence the great shooting.

We'll see. Hopefully Bud does stay to see the whole thing through. I just think it's optimistic to think that actually happens

Maybe he wants the President of Basketball Ops/coach dual role again. I don't think you go from only answering to the owner to now having a GM over you and not feel a way about it. Bud getting stripped of that title was a significant blow to him, he never wanted to lose that position. He used to have a say in who we had here (which was part of the problem) now he's just the coach. Of course Bud is gonna say he likes this group, he's not gonna come out and call Bazemore WOAT outta frustration and say this team sucks :heh:

I think if an opportunity comes along to run a team Bud will strongly consider leaving especially if it's a team with more upside than here

:dwillhuh: Set brehs i thought we were gonna come together in these times.

Tbh I'm enjoying watching this team wayyyy more than last year team. Howard sap and snitzel core wasn't about shyt just a waste of a hawk watching year. Very predictable and bounced in the first round. We are 4th all time in playoff appearances with nothing to show for it. I'm tired of winning and not be good enough. There's only one way to win big and that's have a superstar via the draft

And guess what. When we get the #2 pick in the draft we gonna be ass AGAIN and hopefully get the #4 pick in 2019. Be patient brehs. We've been in the playoffs most our lives save for the early 2000s.

Either way I'm loving this team. When moose and baze are gone and we unlock some real talent in bud U you'll be thankful we didn't reup sap and Timmy only to start this process in 2021:blessed: my unborn son will see a hawks championship:blessed:

Hold the fukk up

Moose is cool. Everyone else except Dennis and Collins can bounce.

Moose is cult hero for the Hawks
