First week or so I thought Shirai Ryu Takeda was OP....but his normals are so slow, he has no wake up game, almost all of his specials are extremely unsafe on block and his mix up game can be armored through with ease. If your opponent knows the character it's probably a L

Not all of his normals are slow. His low pokes are pretty good to great and F+3 is very quick + knockdown. But yeah, I can see his weaknesses too. His wake up game is very so-so without meter and having an aerial X-ray limits its combo usage.

I guess he's not but I figured against a mixup god like Sonya it'd be a terrible matchup. Just goes to show that the player makes the character and not vice versa. Like how he used that f12, 2+4 string to keep distance and implemented teleport cancels to keep his opponent guessing. Gonna have to master that to get better
