Broner did his usual thing, Vargas was damn near a dead man walking towards the end and he just gave it away. I think he has the physical ability to throw more, it's just that he doesn't want to. Vargas and Mike McCallum should change up their attack plan. Vargas doesn't have the stamina to fight this way at all and more active boxers will be like :shaq: in the second half of a fight and stop him.

I think this was rather the Granados type of close fight he typically wins on the cards

It turned out like a Grandados type of fight, but I was referring to the caliber of the opponent. I don't think Vargas is as good as the guys Broner has lost to, but he's still a very strong opponent. I just don't have confidence in AB against these kind of guys.

At this point Broner is just a name. And even his name is losing value. To beat broner today really doesn't mean anything anymore. There's nobody to fight at 140. At 147 he's food. Crawford would destroy him. Spence would leave him pissing blood. Dude is officially journeyman status. And to top it off, Vargas prolly wont do a rematch at 144. The only time broner is able to hurt his opponent is when he drains em down to a catch weight. Dude is done out here:yeshrug:
