Got to give LeBron credit, he has deferred to Luka and picks his spot.
He's said so long for years that he would with others, but never did.

First time I see him REALLY adopting it and being cool with it and doing pretty damn good.

Granted, not much of a choice but rather late than never.

If we pull off making the Finals, would he sacrifice his ego to allow him to not win FMVP and have Luka do so? In the past, I'd say no, but now I think he would.

Luka gotta be taking the shots in clutch time, though. He’s a generational closer even more than he is a generational player. But yes, he can work alongside other ballhandlers just fine.

Hope Bron can put him in his offseason training regimen. Super Luka next season on Bron's swan song would win MVP. :wow:

Others weren’t good enough to take the responsibility off of him

Maybe.

AD was on his way to winning FMVP, but I don't think Bron would have stomach'd AD getting it as it would have hurt his greater than MJ agenda. And we saw Bron "step up" to win FMVP.

I do think AD COULD have been that person to take the reigns but I don't think Bron really wanted to give it to him sometimes. AD didn't help being paper mache' at times either. I get that. Yall right.

:patrice: idk bout this, when was he ever in a position to be the 2nd option forreal and it be better for the team? He never really had a choice

LeBron never played alongside a MVP level playmaker worthy of him doing that, Wade was his only other running mate who went to the finals as a major piece and they lost that first year because Bron was being too passive towards him.

Didn't win a ring until the Heat organization and DWade put the battery in his back to be the big dog, he learned that's what it takes for him to win and never looked back.

Since then, who has he played with that you think he should've been a 2nd option to? Kyrie wasn't mature enough, AD ran away from it, he hadn't played with any high IQ playmakers to control the ball like that

Luka the most proven guy he's played with since Wade easily

A lot of us thought AD deserved that FMVP in 2020. Thought AD would capitalize on that and become the Number 1 option. But then he played only 36, 40, and 56 regular season games the next 3 years. :francis:

Ad is too limited on the offensive end. Now Luka is that guy

True.

Even then, I just think back to that 2011 Finals. Wade was on his way to winning FMVP easy and we saw what happened there with Bron. I still think some funny business with Bron not wanting DWade to win that FMVP got in his head/ego in that situation. It made no sense.

I said I agree with him not having someone reliable to give the reigns to.

I also think his ego played a big role in the 2011 Finals.

Two things can be right at the same time.

Just Win Baby
You brought him in to be a quiet, efficient 3&D.
You got Luka to close games.

Dorian shouldn’t even be in the position to blow a layup late in the game. Only reason he got that backdoor cut and feed from Bron was because Luka was deferring so Bron could get his points milestone.

It’s fine for now, but Luka has to have the ball in his hands in clutch time when playoffs come around. Bron gotta take a backseat for once in his career.

The Luka/Austin/DFS lineup is blockbuster :wow:
