This nikka been calling for this since 2020 lol

Really the issue is what it's always been. Lack of athleticism in the backcourt, and no solid big man option besides AD. Been that way since the 2021, and there hasn't been a single move to alleviate those problems besides signing DS (which on a discount deal helped us to a WCF run so the proof is right there)

No, since 2021. I’ve been right since 2021. If we did what I said we should do, we would be sitting on a bunch of prospects plus the chance at getting a top one this year. Does anyone honestly think adding 2-3 role players makes this team a contender?

Not for the type of role players really needed. Too many glaring issues to fix with not enough compensation on our end.

You saying we can't effectively build a team around a 40 year old that's getting paid 50 million, only plays offense for about 25-30 minutes a night and is useless without the ball in his hands?

If your argument is that doing that exposes Rob and the FO even further and makes it easier for Jeannie to listen to other people then I’ll buy what you’re saying

Otherwise we’ve seen what this front office has done with the “other role player” type signings and pickups. It’s horrendous

Look at the Lakers MLE signings in the Rob era:

Montrez (out of the league)
Nunn (out of the league)
Gabe Vincent (about to be out of the league and has performed WORSE than the other 2)

The most valuable FA signing this FO was able to make by way of the MLE and they’ve failed miserable. Worse than any other organization.

You want more of that without the fallback of , least we got Bron and AD to counter that?

Except Lebron is the best playmaker, best cutter, one of the only decent defenders, 2nd best rebounder, and one of the best 3pt shooters on this team

Do you actually watch the games? it’s an issue that he is the best or 2nd best in all those categories, but the Suns are paying MASSIVE $$ to 3 players and we’re still able to work around the margins better than the Lakers

Times like this I wish we had Danny Ainge as a GM. He would have KG/Pierce'd LeBron and AD for picks and young players.
Man, Jeannie rather lose with Bron than whatever trading them gets.

Wonder how much is Rob being bad and how much is Lakers dysfunction only attracting that caliber of player.

LeBron has not been decent on defense so far this year at all. He still has the IQ but his age is showing

Luka and Lebron have almost the exact same PER and VORP so far this season.

But no one would argue Luka is over paid.

Comapared to everyone not named AD and Cam he’s been good to decent.. I mean that says more about the others on the roster than him

He’s been better than Reaves, DLO, Max, Gabe, Rui, etc

And some pf Those guys are specifically here for defense
