Footlongs are $12 in California :francis:
And thats a damn shame. Subway was my 1st job as a teenager in the mid 90s I remember the 96 cent meatball six inch promotion at the beginning of that year and the location I worked at stayed packed and that's when you really had to proof and actually bake the bread, and even then the most expensive sandwich then was called a New Orleans and it was like 5.99 for a footlong. I never disliked Subway like a lot of folks but I never go there unless I have a coupon for like 3 dollars off. I'm from a time where paying 12 dollars for a sandwich is straight up some :what:. Like for who and for what. You generally have lettuce and tomatoes in the fridge and you can pick up higher quality Deli meat and freshly baked bread from Ralph's and make a weeks worth of sandwiches for less than one full priced subway sandwich.

Article said this deal came out first in 2008 :ohhh:

Minimum wage was at most 7 bucks and Subway could do it because labor was so cheap. They made 3.8 billion when that deal came out:stopitslime:

:why:

I was guessing the busy times u worked your ass off slanging meats ( no Diddy ) and veggies on bread all day for very little actual bread

Subway is warm ass
Imagine eating Subway when there are several better options out there. They ain’t touching Publix or Harris Teeter. Who thought this was a good idea?
