Finally started watchin. Definitely seems like a good show and I'm only 6 episodes in but I definitely gotta say the characterization of Smash and especially Voodoo so far is makin me feel some type of way. What high school kid, especially with as much on the line as Voodoo is gonna come in in the first game changin plays and just being an a$$hole in general on that level? :beli:

shyt actually made me consider stop watchin for a second. I hope that brother can redeem himself because right now he is on soap opera villain status.

There's definitely dudes like Voodoo. I played sports growing up (not saying I was that good or anything, average) but, I see people I know or knew in all the characters on FNL. Voodoo is the arrogant kid who's been balling on his life. Killing shyt since a kid. Probably had a pushy father or uncle that's living through him pushing him to go pro since a baby. Sent him to all the famous sports camps, connected with some people who know people. Kid has gotten serious looks from big schools since freshman year. He's used to coaches not even drawing real plays. Just give Voodoo the ball type shyt. He looks at a hard nosed coach like Coach Taylor like :childplease: You make $40,000 a year, beat it. Put me in the game and shut the hell up

Finished watching it yesterday. Season 4 and 5 were dope...but they werent 1-3. The first 3 seasons I felt like I lived among those character. I lost it when Coach walked away from Smash' crib while he told his fam that he got an offer. I lost it when Coach gave him that lil speech/pep talk right before the try out. Those two scenarios were so dope, to watch someone who worked his ass off get everything he wanted...salute to Smash. The first 3 seasons had a nikka like :to: and i'm not ashamed to say it. The last two seasons were great, but they didn't have the same emotional hold on me. The ups and downs didn't hit me like they did in the earlier seasons. The struggle and triumphs weren't the same to me, but that didn't stop the last two seasons from being great. I think they could have did more with east dillon and the effect the surroundings had on the team and major characters, but it prob. would have been too similar to the wire I guess. If only the characters that left could have stayed till season 5. I want a season 6 and a movie...fukk the bullshyt.

With all that said...

The Son is one of the best 43 mins I have ever seen on tv though, that was some sad shyt the homie had to go through.

Becky would have gotten taken down as soon as I saw her, that is a bad muthafukka. She's on dexter now :bryan:

Julie Taylor....:wow: Saracin won

*riggins voice* Lyla Garrity :noah:

Riggins is a fukkin MAN

I wanna salute all you nikkas for this thread, without it I wouldn't have watched this show, I would have missed out on a classic.

:salute:

I wasn't the biggest fan of season 4. But season 5 for me is almost up there with season 1 and 3. The end of the first ep in season 5 is one of the most memorable episoes I ever saw. Everyone outside the team was talking about how trash they were the season before and they shouldn't even have a season. And the team was starting to believe it and doubt.
Than right before their first game coach Taylor comes up and writes one word on that board. STATE
