Season 2 was not "shyt". Sure it started off weaker than all of the other seasons, but quickly redeemed itself in the second half of the season. I think people are just spoiled by how outstanding the show was overall and at this point it's a bandwagon effect to bring up season 2. Even on sites like Rotten Tomatoes season 2 has an approval rating of 90% (seasons 1, 3-5 are all nearly 100%).
Either way season 2 was very far from "shyt". If you want to talk about "shyt", then watch season 6 of Dexter and then report back as to how it compares to season 2 of Friday Night Lights.
