I don't even think I could climb a ladder for three hours straight without my arms failing.

Seriously. Doing any athletic activity for three hours, and almost everyone is sweating and exhausted.

This. That's like a marathon but with your arms instead of your legs.

The film crew asked him on top what he was going to do next that day and he said he had a hangboard workout scheduled (30 minutes hanging off a board by the ends of his fingers). :dead:

And if his hands sweat even a little, he will fall.

Trying to comprehend how those guys do something with the tiniest margin for error.

This is really mind blowing.

I was amazed he was able to keep a girlfriend and free solo at the same time. She seemed cool, but I woulda dropped her when she caused him to fall the first time.

I dont even know why any women would want to date the free solo climber dudes. They seem to all suffer from being narcissistic

I've come across this climber YT channel Magnud Midtbo. He's a retired Norwegian competitive rock climber who now does climbing vids mostly in gyms.

So he hits up Alex Honnold to do a collab and Alex takes him to red rocks in Las Vegas and basically peer pressure him into doing a free climb (Magnus has never done a free climb).

This dude was scared out of his mind but got pressured into doing it anyways :skip:
This dude Alex really wanted to see someone die :russ::wow:

Alex is not normal, clearly on the Asperger’s spectrum. Dude cannot comprehend other peoples feelings. He is an amazing athlete though.

"Normally, if you don't feel comfortable I don't want to go right below you, cause if you fall off I don't want to die heh." :mjlol:

"There are so many times when you go with a partner, you trust your partner, you relax and it's all fine." - As if I want to trust Alex Honnold to decide what a safe experience is. :francis:

"There isn't going to be any cracks or anything." - they do a narrow-ass sketchy crack - "Honestly I didn't remember that was on the route at all."

At about 11:28 that's the shot where my heart skipped.

"It's just that this is slippery. This is really slippery."

"I mean this is a nice experience and everything....but I'm never doing this again."

"I wonder if I can actually climb while I film." -- "Oh don't do that, please." -- "I'm trying, I'm trying...bam!"

He a whole HOE for letting that man play with his life like that. :pacspit:

Dude is a sociopath, you don’t peer pressure someone who’s clearly uncomfortable to do something like that “yeah that rock is slippery but firm, sort of a trade off” :snoop:
