Whats to understand? I'm a business owner, I took home 6 figures this year and I still support higher taxes to provide opportunities to those who weren't lucky enough to have the opportunities I did.

Ya'll Socialist nutthuggers don't realize that if they make getting a degree free, it makes the value of a Bachelor Degree and Master Degree drop dramatically

It's I believe around 10 countries with free college and I've never heard of this being an issue. Can you expound on what you mean by saying the value of the degree drops?

They did it when they threw the whole damn bag to large companies and lied saying it was for small companies. (BTW I, as a business owner saw $0 of that stimulus).

I could go on, but my point is that if they redirected the money they already taking from us and used it to invest in the populace everyone would be better off. An educated populace is a good thing, not a bad one. Especially when the alternative is free money for corporations and the military industrial complex.

Look at the situation now. Simple supply and demand. You give everyone the opportunity to get a degree, it evens the playing field and the value of the degree drops
It used to be able for you to get an English, Philosophy, or Sociology Bachelor's degree. Now those degrees are the same level as a High school diploma

A masters degree used to be coveted as an easy ticket to a high paying job. Now they are a dime a dozen because everyone is getting one. If everyone is getting the same degree as you, what advantage do you really have?

Why do you think STEM degrees are still lauded as high value? Because everyone isn't good at Math, Biology, Physics, etc. Even if the government tries to push everyone to STEM, it still wont lose its value because there's an intellectual barrier. Scarcity equals value
