White conservatives are so scared by the imaginary threat of the black handout, that they continually vote against their own interests. White liberals are so scared of being LABELLED as giving blacks handouts, that they court racists, or have to cloak any progressive legislation in excessive POC rhetoric.

The idea of helping blacks in spite of what has been done to us is SOOOOOOO anathema that they don’t realize if they focused on a black party that emphasized issues facing black communities, EVERYBODY would actually prosper.

Our economy is gutted by racism. We lose billions due to discriminatory policies. Playing on whites fears and insecurities to keep the top 5% wealthy.

Its mind boggling to me that this shyt has worked for such a long time.

This is why when democrats act, they do so with what I call the "reverse southern strategy". Just like conservatives can no longer just say "whites only" liberals can't say "this is for black people" because they know how angry whites will get.

They can pander to the alphabet folks because white men are in their ranks

They can pander to "latino" people since latinos aren't actually a race and comprise of millions who consider themselves white.

Ya'll Socialist nutthuggers don't realize that if they make getting a degree free, it makes the value of a Bachelor Degree and Master Degree drop dramatically

So what happens if tuition is free but the country's economy stays strong? Like in Germany or Norway or Finland

This isn't socialism. This is the evolution of the social contract you agree to when you pay your taxes and participate in elections. Most of your tuition doesn't even go to the professors teaching you. It goes to administrative functions and to build things like massive stadiums, lounges, etc.

Look at the situation now. Simple supply and demand. You give everyone the opportunity to get a degree, it evens the playing field and the value of the degree drops
It used to be able for you to get an English, Philosophy, or Sociology Bachelor's degree. Now those degrees are the same level as a High school diploma

A masters degree used to be coveted as an easy ticket to a high paying job. Now they are a dime a dozen because everyone is getting one. If everyone is getting the same degree as you, what advantage do you really have?

Why do you think STEM degrees are still lauded as high value? Because everyone isn't good at Math, Biology, Physics, etc. Even if the government tries to push everyone to STEM, it still wont lose its value because there's an intellectual barrier. Scarcity equals value

giving everyone the opportunity to get a degree doesn't mean that everyone is going to get a degree

thats very visible in nordic and balkan countries where it's essentially possible for every able-minded person to get a degree, and they still have a very healthy (if not more healthy than america) service sector

increasing funding to public institutions and eventually making them more accessible to the general population absolutely doesn't have the effect that you claim it does, there are examples in the world right now that disprove all of that

you basically disprove your own argument in your last paragraph; better equipping public schools won't make people good at math out of nowhere as much as it will help create opportunities for those individuals that wouldn't get the same opportunity now because they go to school in a less funded district or dont have the funds to pay for tutoring
