She was saying how this mental hospital she works at is filled with young brehs who walk around talking "on folk " "on folk" repeat like a broken record. Shyt real out here

Being black is ptsd, hood or not. Pills, alcohol= escapism. Gotta find better ways to cope with our struggles but it’s easier said than done when you’re dealing with thoughts in your head or running from demons. RIP

what for? i been talking on my struggles with manic depression (bipolar) on here for years. i mostly did it to speed up the process and my place on a waiting list for meds at the place i go to for therapy. ihad a lil bit of a break down on New Year’s day due to financial problems which led to me going there. h

What's really sad about Fredo is that people don't understand the cerebral impact of being raised in systemically violent conditions. The drug use is a byproduct of untreated PTSD. This all comes back to convos we need to have surrounding mental health.

People who haven’t experienced it first hand really have no clue man.

So many young brothers starting from early childhood are severely damaged emotionally from never feeling safe, wondering where the next meal is coming from, drug/alcoholic parents/ relatives etc seeing violence in and out of their homes


Then on top of it you’re labeled junkies and savages then told to “man up, tough that shyt out etc”


I really hope mental health becomes a “thing” like physical fitness has.

Especially in the black community
